Hello, my name is James Leyva, aka LeyvaFlava, aka THE X-Factor. Since I was in high school, sports photography/ videography has become my passion, hobby, and profession. For over a decade, I have experience using film, small digital, DSLR, video, and mirrorless cameras.

  • I am a sports photographer and writer at TheSkyBoat.org Media.

  • Sports Photographer for ZUMA PRESS.

  • From 2019 to 2024, I did sports videography & and photography for the news station called NBC KAGS TV in the BCS (Bryan/College Station) Central TX area.

  • I worked for The Walt Disney Company as a Photopass Photographer for six years 2012 to 2018.

  • I was a Freelance Photographer for the newspaper in Bryan, TX called The Eagle in 2019.

  • Covered games in College Football, College Basketball, College Baseball, College Soccer, NFL, MLB, professional Soccer(MLS) (NSWL) (International), high school sports, and auto racing.

  • Notable sporting events I have covered are the 102nd Indianapolis 500, the 2025 CFP Semi-Final Cotton Bowl game, covered over 30 MLB games, two NFL games in 2018 and 2019, the 2019 Rose Bowl game, the 2019 CFP Semi-Final Fiesta Bowl game, the 2023 Big 12 Championship game, Super Bowl 51 & 54 events, and more sporting events.
